Ariana Battaglia

Ariana (no pronouns) studied Applied Theater Studies (B.A.) at Justus Liebig University Giessen and Live Art Forms (M.A.) at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. As a lighting and video designer, Ariana has worked at Frankfurt LAB, Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm, Naxos Frankfurt, the Sophiensäle, and Uferstudios Berlin, among others. Ariana is touring internationally as technical director for Charlie Khalil Prince’s production “the body symphonic.” In 2025, Ariana’s installation “EXTREME BOTTOM” was awarded the Academy Prize of the AdBK Nuremberg. In her own artistic practice, Ariana deals with bodies and their perception between intimacy, violence, and desire, especially with body horror, gore, the fictionalization of transition, and (in)visibilities. Since 2026, Ariana holds the position of technical director at the Berliner Ringtheater.
