Mu Wang
Mu Wang (she/her) is a theater- and film director as well as a performer. In her practice, she put the focus on performative theater and developed an interest in working with auto-biographical material. She has a special feeling for magical-realism; the Chinese spiritual funeral or the fact of electricity for example, inspired her language.
Mu performs in almost all of her own theater works. IN DIESEM MOMENT DENKEN ALLE AN MICH was invited to the Theater Festivals in Stuttgart and Timisoara, Romania. DAS ROTE, developed at Berliner Ringtheater, was invited to Copenhagen in 2026 and supported by the Danish Art Foundation.
Since 2026, Mu is part of the artistic direction collective of Berliner Ringtheater.
