OPEN CALL – HAUSPRODUKTIONEN 2026
Ihr entwickelt aktuell eine Projektidee und sucht eine Spielstätte, mit der ihr zusammenarbeiten möchtet? Das Berliner Ringtheater freut sich auf eure Konzepte für Theater, Tanz, Performances und eigene Texte, die bei uns 2026 auf die Bühne gebracht werden können.
Wer wir sind und was mir machen:
Das Berliner Ringtheater ist ein Produktionsort für Gegenwartsgeschichten und performative Darstellungsformen, die gesellschaftskritische Themen verhandeln. Theatermacher*innen, die am Anfang ihrer professionellen Laufbahn stehen oder sich ein neues künstlerisches Feld erschließen möchten, werden bei uns durch eine kollektive und machtkritische Produktionsstruktur unterstützt. Wir interessieren uns dabei insbesondere für intersektionale Perspektiven und Ansätze von BIPoC- oder FLINTA-Künstler*innen sowie Künstler*innen mit Behinderung, Flucht- oder Migrationsgeschichte. Seit fünf Jahren wird unsere Arbeit von der Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt gefördert.
Unsere Spielstätte befindet sich momentan in Berlin-Friedrichshain auf dem Gelände des selbstverwalteten Kulturzentrums Neue Zukunft.

Was wir von euch brauchen:
- Projektbeschreibung (2 Seiten) mit folgenden Punkten:
- Thema des Projekts
- Inszenierungskonzept/Umsetzungsideen. Was passiert auf der Bühne? Was für eine szenische, narrative oder choreographische Entwicklung geschieht im Laufe der Aufführung?
- Darstellung der eigenen Arbeitsweise. Wie wird ein Stoff künstlerisch bearbeitet? Wie arbeitet ihr als Team?
- Textauszüge (wenn vorhanden)
- Finanzplan
- Lebenslauf der Projektverantwortlichen und Liste der Projektbeteiligten
- Dokumentation vergangener Arbeiten (falls vorhanden)
Bitte alle Dokumente in eine PDF-Datei (max. 10 MB) zusammenfügen und mit „Titel_Name“ benennen!
Was wir euch bieten:
Ausgewählte Projekte unterstützen wir durch eine Beratung im Rahmen der Antragstellung. Vorbehaltlich tatsächlicher Förderung können wir technische Betreuung, Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und einen kleinen Koproduktionsbeitrag beisteuern. Darüber hinaus betreuen unsere Hausdramaturg*innen sowohl die Konzeption als auch die Durchführung des Projekts und sorgen für einen künstlerischen Austausch zwischen den Projektbeteiligten und der kollektiven künstlerischen Leitung des Ringtheaters.

Open Call: Productions 2026!
Are you currently developing a project and looking for a venue to work with? The Berliner Ringtheater is looking forward to your concepts for theatre, dance, performance and playwritings, which could be realized on our stage in 2026.
Who we are and what we do:
The Berliner Ringtheater is a production venue where sociocritical New Drama and performative forms of presentation are staged. As a collective with a power-critical claim, we aim to support theatermakers, who are at the beginning of their professional careers and/or who want to enter a new artistic field. We are particularly interested in intersectional perspectives and approaches of BIPoC / FLINTA artists as well as artists with disabilities, refugee or migration backgrounds and experiences. Our work has been funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion for the last five years.
Our venue is currently located in Berlin-Friedrichshain on the grounds of the self-managed culture space Neue Zukunft.

What we need from you:
- Project description (2 pages) which consists of the following parts:
- Topic of the project
- Production concept/realization ideas: What happens on stage? What kind of scenic, narrative or choreographic development takes place during the performance?
- Presentation of your own working method: What is your artistic approach? How do you work as a team?
- Text excerpts (if available)
- Finance plan or financing strategy (funding possibilities when you cannot apply for funding in Berlin)
- Curriculum Vitae of the artistic director(s) and a list of all participants
- Portfolio (if available)
Please submit all documents in one PDF-file (max.10MB) and name it “title_name”!
What we offer to you:
We provide the selected projects with support for funding applications. In case the project receives funding, we can offer press and PR work, technical support and a small co-production fee. In addition, our in-house dramaturges look after both the conception and the realization of the selected projects and ensure an artistic exchange between the project participants and the artistic directors of Ringtheater.
