Das Rote
‘Das Rote’ is a kinky performative experiment. A dance of beauty, self-loathing and unspeakable desires.
On this evening, Mu Wang and Yumo Cheng embody two brides and weave a chronicle of their own bodies.
In contrast to Christian traditions, the Chinese wedding scene is in vibrant red. The bride, dressed in red from head to toe, is blindfolded and led to a bed where she has never been before.
There, her blood will be the only clue to her chastity, and her moans will become material for erotic dreams.
But who exactly is she? Here come the brides, speaking softly and carrying a whiplash.
